Join the core engineering team as a Senior Software Engineer, where you will build and ship the chain and provider software for the marketplace. This hands-on role involves writing Go, testing network upgrades, resolving provider issues in Kubernetes, and shaping feature specs. You will also contribute to closed source Overclock Labs efforts and maintain core features across the Akash node and provider daemon.

About Akash Network

  • Experience building or upgrading Proof-of-Stake blockchains and decentralized infrastructure
  • Familiarity with Cosmos SDK, CometBFT/Tendermint

Responsibilities

  • Concevoir, tester et expédier des mises à niveau du réseau, en validant le comportement sur le testnet avant le déploiement sur le mainnet.
  • Diagnostiquer et résoudre les problèmes côté fournisseur dans Kubernetes, de la passerelle et du réseau à l'orchestration des charges de travail.
  • Écrire des spécifications fonctionnelles et de la documentation technique qui aident les fournisseurs, les développeurs et les coéquipiers à comprendre et à adopter de nouvelles fonctionnalités.
  • Expert knowledge of systems design concepts and distributed computing

Requirements

  • You take a pragmatic approach to developing clean solutions to complex problems
  • Experience with test-driven development and the use of testing frameworks
  • Experience in key security concepts: cryptography, key/certificate management, identity, and access management
  • Hands-on Kubernetes experience, including debugging real workloads, networking, and cluster issues
  • Ability to write clear technical documentation for both engineers and provider operators

Experience developing backend APIs and complex services

  • Keen eye for modeling scenarios in reproducible test environments
  • Proven ability to work in an open source Git workflow, since the team develops in the open
  • Strong, current experience writing Go in production
  • Ability to stay communicative while working remotely and asynchronously
  • Notable open source contributions on GitHub
  • Some Rust experience
  • Experience with gRPC, protobuf, and code generation
  • Passion for AI, with experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting open source models with vLLM and SGLang
