Responsibilities

• Build enterprise-grade AI agents: You'll collaborate closely with clients to architect, build, and deploy robust AI agents capable of operating at scale.
• Evolve agent development lifecycle: Adapt established software engineering practices to address the unique challenges of AI agents, specifically regarding non-deterministic behaviors, natural language integration, and LLM dependencies.
• Accelerate generative agent development: Leverage modern tools like Cursor and Claude Code to speed up agent creation, while exploring the design of harness and self-optimizing systems that improve through real-world usage, user feedback, and self-play loops.
• Shape the future of product & platform: Your team’s direct work with customers will guide the evolution of Backbase’s product & platform. You’ll surface unmet needs, prioritize initiatives, and collaborate with product, and platform teams to shape the future of AI agent development and Backbase’s product & platform.

Requirements
