We're looking for a Cloud Security Engineer. You'll build new security capabilities for Kubernetes, Linux hosts and cloud environments, research emerging technologies and attack techniques, and ship end-to-end product features together with the product and engineering teams.

About Aikido Security

  • 🌍 We’re making security suck less for developers.
  • They interrupt teams, slow releases, and turn security into a bottleneck instead of a capability.
  • We built Aikido to change that.
  • Aikido builds developer-first security products that reduce real risk without getting in the way of shipping software.
  • We focus on what actually matters and automate the rest.
  • We’re taking on legacy security tools that teams have been stuck with, and we’re winning.
  • If you want to help us take market share and build products developers actually enjoy using, you’re in the right place.
  • Founded in 2022 by third-time founders, Aikido has $85M in the bank and a long runway ahead.
  • We’re building toward self-securing software.
  • Join an all-star team.

Responsibilities

  • Take real ownership.
  • Push boundaries.
  • Build things that matter.
  • Build end-to-end features across Aikido's cloud security products (CSPM, Kubernetes Security, Cloud Inventory, Reachability and more) Cover Kubernetes, containers, and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, and similar).
  • Ship production-ready user-facing functionality across the entire stack
  • Research AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and Kubernetes to turn complex cloud concepts into intuitive security features
  • Work directly with customers to understand real-world cloud security problems and help solve them Collaborate with the rest of engineering to integrate cloud capabilities into the core
  • Aikido platform Take ownership of features from idea to production, including testing, documentation and maintenance
  • Strong software engineering experience with Go (or another backend language and willingness to learn Go) Experience building production software, not just operating infrastructure

What you can expect

  • Big ownership.
  • Shape the projects that matter and ship fast.
  • Grow as fast as we do.
  • Take on more, own more, and carve out your own path.
  • We hire for talent, drive, and potential.
  • Everything else is noise.

Requirements

  • Security tools haven’t kept up with how software is built today.
  • Comfortable working across the stack when a feature requires it Solid understanding of at least one public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) Experience with Kubernetes and modern cloud-native architectures
  • Curious enough to research unfamiliar cloud services and quickly turn that knowledge into product features
  • Comfortable discussing technical problems directly with customers

Really comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment

  • Willing to experiment, iterate quickly, and occasionally throw code away Mid-level to Senior: we're growing fast and need people who can own features independently
  • Fluent in English and able to work within the CEST timezone
  • Short decision lines.
  • Flexibility in working hours.
  • A company that sticks to its values in an open and informal atmosphere.

Benefits

  • Top-tier tech pay and equity.
  • High trust, strong values, zero corporate BS.
