Trainee Developer

Senior software developers are responsible for designing, testing, and implementing new and updated software programs.

Responsibilities

• Their job is to ensure all deliverables are completed on time and to the agreed specification.
• They should be able to provide guidance to team as well as training, mentoring and guiding junior colleagues.
• Applying agreed standards and tools to achieve a well-engineered result.
• Monitoring and reporting on progress.
• Thinking out-of-box, suggesting innovative and practical solutions to resolve issues based on their experience
• Configuration Management - Taking care of code hygiene (Well maintained) and setting up project infrastructure to ensure all documents are in order

Defining software modules needed for an integration build

• Producing build definition for each generation of the software.
• Accepting completed software modules, ensuring that they meet defined criteria.
• Producing software builds from software source code for loading onto target hardware.
• Configuring the hardware and software environment as required by the system being integrated.
• Producing integration test specifications, conducts tests and records and reports on outcomes.
• Diagnosing faults and records and reports on the results of tests.
• Producing system integration reports.
• Collaborating in reviews of work with others.

Requirements

• As a Senior Software developer, they need no supervision and given their good technical competencies they can pick up a work, analyze and complete it on their own.
