**Workplace:** on_site
**Department:** Speech Therapy
## Description
**Paediatric Speech Pathologist | Neurodevelopmental and Disability Caseload**
**Location:** Western Melbourne, VIC (St Albans, Caroline Springs and Hoppers Crossing areas)
- **The role**
- A large multidisciplinary allied health practice is looking for a Paediatric Speech Pathologist to join its western team full time. You’d support children and young people with neurodevelopmental and neurological needs, in well equipped clinic rooms and in the homes and community settings where communication actually happens. The practice would like someone to start soon.
**What you’ll be doing**
- Assessment and therapy for communication and swallowing needs in children and young people
- A caseload that is mostly NDIS funded, so goal setting and clear reporting are part of the day
- Roughly half your time in clinic and half in homes and the community
- Working alongside OTs, physios and allied health assistants
- A mixed paediatric and adult caseload if you prefer it, with up to about a third adult work
**What’s on offer**
- Base salary from $90,000 plus super and an incentive program for clinicians with 2 or more years’ experience
- Senior clinicians with 5 or more years’ experience can be considered at $100,000 to $115,000 plus super
- Flexible work: standard Monday to Friday hours, a 9 day fortnight or a compressed 4 day week
- Company car option (small fortnightly co-contribution and a slightly lower base), or use your own car and be reimbursed at $1.01 per km
- An employer that invests heavily in training and support, so you can deliver quality services
- Clear career pathways, professional development support, wellbeing leave, paid parental leave and an extra leave perk for time away
- Recognised in national workplace rankings, with a supportive culture
**About you**
- 2 or more years’ experience as a Speech Pathologist, ideally with paediatrics
- Fully qualified and eligible for Speech Pathologist membership (CPSP)
- Full Australian working rights (sponsorship is not available)
- Comfortable working in homes and community settings, with a current driver’s licence
- Warm, organised and happy to work with families and other clinicians
**Locations**
- **St Albans:** a lively, multicultural suburb with great local food, direct train links and plenty of everyday amenities.
- **Caroline Springs:** a planned suburb built around lakes, parks and a busy town centre, with easy road access.
- **Hoppers Crossing:** a well connected suburb with a large shopping precinct, a train line and quick access to the freeway.
