The Fixed Building Security Officer provides a safe and secure environment at Madison Square Garden's

Responsibilities

• Provide security guard force coverage of Sphere Studios and Big Dome by staffing 24/7 fixed, roving, indoor, or outdoor security posts in all weather conditions
• building and surrounding property
• Screen visitors, vehicles, and equipment entering the property

• Observe and report on security threats along the building’s perimeter such as: crime, scalper activity, loitering, and surveillance activity (of performers, artists

Requirements

• Sphere
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• nderstanding of security procedures and front-facing experience with VIPs, C-Suite executives and/or high net worth individuals
• Systems and other security devices
• Must have the ability and interpersonal skills to effectively assist guests, clients and employees

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Must have basic familiarity with email, Microsoft Office tools, and computer software programs used for staffing, access control, and deliveries

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, have split days off, work weekends and holidays in a 24 X 7 environment
• General physical requirements such as lifting 25 lbs., standing for long periods, walking long distances, bending and constant motion is often required
