The Role Digital Grid Management's (DGM) Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) business is a rapidly growing area that enables electric utilities to monitor, manage, control, and optimize the grid through advanced operational technologies.
ADMS combines core distribution management capabilities with advanced applications such as Outage Management, State Estimation, Distribution Power Flow (DPF), Fault Location Isolation & Service Restoration (FLISR), Volt/VAR Control & Optimization (VVO), switching management, and Distributed Energy Resource (DER) integration to help utilities improve reliability, resilience, and operational efficiency.
As the Senior Manager, Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) Delivery, you will lead multiple teams of engineers and technical leaders responsible for the successful implementation, deployment, and support of ADMS solutions across a portfolio of utility customers.
You will provide strategic, operational, and technical leadership, ensuring successful project execution, customer satisfaction, organizational effectiveness, and business growth. This role will also serve as a catalyst for transforming how ADMS solutions are delivered.
Advances in AI-enabled software development and automation have fundamentally changed the economics of delivery, making it possible for implementation teams to rapidly create tools, workflows, and solutions that were previously too costly or resource-intensive to develop.
You will establish and drive a vision for AI-enabled delivery, empowering engineers to leverage emerging technologies to automate repetitive work, accelerate project execution, increase quality and consistency, and scale expertise across the organization.
By fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, you will help shift teams from solving individual project issues to creating reusable solutions that improve outcomes across customers, projects, and the broader business.
As a senior leader, you will partner closely with customers, Delivery Directors, Product Management, Architecture, Software Development, Sales, and Executive Leadership to drive operational excellence, customer success, organizational transformation, and sustainable growth.
Your Impact Lead and develop multiple teams of ADMS engineers, technical specialists, and people leaders, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence. Oversee implementation, integration, testing, commissioning, and support activities for advanced ADMS applications, including: Outage Management Systems (OMS) Distribution Power Flow (DPF) State Estimation Fault Location, Isolation & Service Restoration (FLISR) Volt/VAR Control & Optimization (VVO); Switching and switching-order management Distributed Energy Resource (DER) integration Advanced operational analytics and decision-support applications Ensure projects meet customer requirements, contractual commitments, quality standards, schedules, budgets, and operational goals.
Partner with utility customers to define implementation strategies and long-term operational roadmaps. Establish and execute a vision for AI-enabled project delivery across the ADMS organization. Drive the adoption of modern AI tools and automation technologies to transform implementation, support, and operational workflows.
Identify and eliminate repetitive, manual, and non-value-added engineering activities that consume delivery capacity and contribute to project inefficiencies. Lead initiatives that automate high-volume implementation tasks, improve consistency, reduce delivery risks, and accelerate customer outcomes.
Empower engineers to leverage AI-assisted development, enabling subject matter experts to rapidly create automation solutions that would have historically required specialized software development resources. Promote a mindset of solving classes of problems rather than individual problems by creating scalable tools, reusable frameworks, and standardized processes that benefit multiple customers and projects.
Build a culture in which automation, reuse, and continuous improvement are embedded into day-to-day operations. Sponsor innovation efforts that evaluate emerging technologies and convert breakthrough ideas into practical solutions that improve delivery performance. Accelerate organizational adoption of AI-enabled ways of working across Delivery, Product, Engineering, and Support functions.
