Digital Marketing Content Analyst, Latam Growth
Location
Santiago, Chile. This is an office based role with the team in the office five days a week.
Team description
Online Marketing is one of the main ways SumUp wins new small businesses in Chile. This small Santiago team shapes what merchants see in our ads, on our landing pages and in their first emails, for card readers and Tap to Pay on the phone.
No one holds this role in Chile today. You'll own the question "what would make this merchant care?" You'll turn conversations with merchants who sign up online on their own, and with prospects who chose not to, into clear creative ideas, and bring their voice to the people who shape our offer. AI has made content quick to produce, so the advantage now is sharper insight and better ideas. You'll benchmark creative from other SumUp markets and from competitors to raise the bar.
What you'll do
Develop four or five genuinely different creative concepts for each product and offer, then write the ad copy, video scripts, design briefs and landing-page content that bring them to life, keeping messages consistent wherever merchants see them
Benchmark creative across other SumUp regions and competitors, and review all copy so messages stay consistent across self-serve, mobile and sales-led channels
Talk regularly with merchants who signed up online and with prospects who didn't, draw on what sales, activation and support teams already know, and share a monthly summary of merchant needs, objections and the words they use
Use test results, judged on merchant value rather than clicks or signups, to shape each new round of creative
Build and maintain the context that guides our AI copy and creative tools, and check the quality of what they produce
What you'll bring
3-5 Years in performance creative strategy, copywriting or growth content, including writing creative briefs and building concepts from customer insight.
Native Spanish copywriting skills with a track record of writing to convert.
Ability to run merchant interviews, spot patterns and present clear, evidence based insight to senior colleagues.
Comfort using generative AI tools every day to speed up ideas and drafts without losing quality.
A collaborative, low ego approach, with curiosity about merchants, structured thinking and professional English for working with European teams.
