Software Engineer - Node Lead

Provides technical leadership for the design, development, and support of Node.js-based applications and services supporting the Expert Events platform. Responsible for solution architecture, application development, system integrations, code quality, and mentoring engineering team members.

Responsibilities

• Partners with Product, Architecture, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions.
• Functions Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Node.js applications, APIs, and microservices.
• Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentoring to development teams.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Drive architecture, performance, security, and quality best practices.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Architecture teams to deliver roadmap initiatives.
• Support production issue resolution, release planning, and platform modernization efforts.
• Contribute to Agile planning, estimation, and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years of Node.js development experience.
• Strong expertise in REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-based architectures.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software engineering practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Preferred

• Qualifications Experience with TypeScript, AWS/Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience supporting customer-facing applications in Agile environments.
