Senior Software Engineer - FT Core

Join the Financial Times, a leading global news organization, as a Senior Software Engineer. In this role, you will be part of the FT Core group, responsible for key digital assets such as content and metadata, subscriptions, access and identity, and data platform. You will have the autonomy to select the tools and technologies needed to build and operate services critical to the FT brand. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in building and maintaining distributed systems, proficiency in Java or Go, and experience working in an Agile delivery team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers and senior stakeholders to shape solutions from inception to deployment.
• Design and implement low maintenance, well monitored, secure and scalable solutions, from cradle to grave.
• Contribute to company-wide processes, frameworks and guidelines, and develop a close relationship with customers.
