DevOps Engineer with Java (Azure, Kubernetes)

DevOps Engineer with Java (Azure, Kubernetes) We are currently looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with Java experience to join the team of one of the world's leading global investment banks. The project is delivered together with a large international IT services company. For this role, Optiveum is the recruitment and contracting party, which means you will sign the cooperation agreement directly with us. You will take responsibility for automation, deployment processes and cloud infrastructure on Azure, while being able to understand, analyse and work with Java code when needed, across both modern frameworks and legacy systems.

Responsibilities

• Kraków (candidates must live in or within commuting distance of Kraków) Start: December 2026 Responsibilities: Develop, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for smooth and reliable deployments to Azure Automate application deployment, monitoring and scaling across Azure services, including
• App Services, Azure SQL, Kubernetes and Docker Administer and optimise workloads in Unix/Linux environments, using Shell/Bash scripting to streamline operations
• Create and maintain Python-based scripts and tools to automate DevOps workflows
• Investigate technical issues, perform root-cause analysis and implement fixes across development and production environments
• Maintain system stability, optimise performance and uphold security standards
• Contribute to code reviews and share knowledge to improve engineering practices

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in IT, including 5+ years in DevOps, SRE or a related role Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, including deployment and monitoring
• CI/CD, automation and Infrastructure as Code Hands-on experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, ARM or Bicep Proficiency with Kubernetes for orchestration and scaling
• Experience with Unix/Linux systems and Shell/Bash scripting
• Good knowledge of Python for automation and tooling
• Strong troubleshooting skills, including debugging distributed systems
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins Proficiency in Java (8/11/17) Fluent English Polish or EU citizenship, or a permanent residence / work permit valid for at least 12 months

Preferred

• Configuration management tools such as Ansible Monitoring and logging solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK or Azure Monitor Recruitment Process: Technical tasks are done live: please have your environment, tools and language/framework versions set up and tested beforehand.

Pay

Rate: 130–160 PLN/h (B2B), depending on experience

Work Model

Hybrid, 3 days per week from the client's office (non-negotiable), full-time
