We are looking for a highly motivated Big Data Test Engineer with strong manual and automation testing experience. The ideal candidate should have a solid testing foundation, strong analytical and debugging skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Job Title: Big Data Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Innovative thinking, delivery excellence and thought leadership to help our clients transform their business. Together with our clients and industry partners, we deliver disruptive work that is changing energy and financial services.
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
• Perform manual and automated testing for Big Data applications and data pipelines.
• Validate data quality, data transformations, and end-to-end data processing workflows.
• Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot defects to determine the root cause.
• Work closely with developers and stakeholders to drive defect resolution.
• Create and maintain test documentation, test results, and defect reports.
• Proactively identify risks, edge cases, and potential quality gaps during the testing lifecycle.
• Collaborate with global teams and participate in discussions across different time zones when required.
• Take ownership of deliverables and drive tasks to completion with minimal supervision.
• Required Qualifications

Requirements

• Location: Pune/ Bengaluru/ Mumbai/ Hyderabad/ Gurugram/ Chennai (Hybrid - 2 days a week from office)

Experience: Min 4yrs in Big Data

• 3+ years of experience in software testing, including manual and automated testing.
• Strong understanding of Test Engineering principles and best practices.
• Proven ability to design effective test cases, including negative and edge-case scenarios.
• Hadoop Hive Spark Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to debug issues and identify root causes.
• Good working knowledge of Unix/Linux commands.
• Ability to work independently with a high level of accountability and ownership.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Positive attitude, strong team-player mindset, and willingness to learn.
• Flexibility to support meetings outside standard working hours when required to collaborate with global teams.
• Experience testing applications that use: Kafka Redis Hive Exposure to Big Data platforms and distributed data processing systems. Experience with test automation frameworks and data validation techniques.
