Senior Data Engineer

As a Senior Data Engineer at Lalamove, you will be joining the growing Data Platform team to develop and enhance our data platform.

• The data platform is the centralized portal that enables engineers and analysts across the company to ingest, process, orchestrate, analyze, and visualize the data of our company.

Responsibilities

• As part of the Data Engineering function, the team will design, develop, maintain, and scale the data platform, including the data infrastructure and data services, which provides the foundation to downstream use cases such as data warehousing, reporting, machine learning, analytics, data products etc.
• Build and optimize the data platform of the company, which processes large and rapidly growing volume of data

Lead our internal technical improvement projects

• Involve in the technical design of our data platform
• Ensure and continuously improve the stability and efficiency of the data platform
• Support and troubleshoot technical issues on the data platform
• Explore the application of AI Agents on the data platform to build industry-competitive systems
• Implement the capabilities on data platform for analytics, data science, and data product development
• Work in a cross-cultural geographically-dispersed team environment

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in data engineering or software engineering

Strong experience in Java and Spring Boot framework

• Experience in building and designing customized platforms on top of the Hadoop ecosystem (Hive, HBase, Kafka, Flink etc.)
• Strong knowledge of HDFS, Hadoop ecosystem and its components
• Familiar with relational databases (e.g., MySQL) and common NoSQL/caching technologies (e.g., Redis, MongoDB)
• Experience in designing and implementing services that handles large volumes of data
• Strong ability to troubleshoot quickly in case of production issues
• Fluency in Mandarin required; working knowledge of written English

Preferred

• Experience in developing user persona platforms is preferred.
