SDET - Java

The role is based in the Pune R&D Centre, at SAS R&D Pune facility. For this role, you will join the SAS9 team. We are looking for a Java developer to develop and maintain the SAS9 middle tier platform and services. You will help with plan and design work and take responsibility for large parts of the application.

Responsibilities

• Validation and Testing of SAS Software on windows and Unix platforms.
• Creates and maintains high performing Integration tests using Java using Junit.
• Creates and maintains high quality of test automation using modern development techniques.
• Installation/configuration of testing environment and support SAS9 infrastructure and continuous deployment infrastructure.
• Demonstrate aptitude for problem solving and debugging of complex software systems.
• Automate the deployment process as applicable using internal tools, Jenkins, Python, Shell scripts etc.
• Install and administer Postgres, Oracle, MySQL, SAS or related DBMS.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks, tools, and scripts that address specific needs.
• Design and implement test plans (cases, scenarios, usage).
• Identify risks, issues, potential defects, or defects in any phase of the project life cycle, managing them through closure.
• Knowledge of Security concepts and tool such as Snyk, Blackduck etc.
• Knowledge of Enterprise Security applications like IBM Virtual Identity Access (IVIA)/WebSeal, SiteMinder and Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA).
• Independently support / install / configure test environments for multiple projects.

Requirements

• Furthermore, you will be joining a friendly team with a broad range of experience, to develop and maintain SAS 9.4 Solutions.
• Requirement 2-5 years of professional experience in software development or automated testing in java programming language.
• Experience with other programming languages is good to have (e.g., Python, playwright, Golang) Experience with integration, regression and unit testing
• Experience with Linux and Windows Knowledge of building and maintaining automations in Jenkins Experience with CI/CD pipeline and associated tools like
• Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, GitHub, etc.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test scripts Programming and debugging skills with a working understanding of software architecture and testing principles Effective communication and strong problem-solving skills.
• Good debugging skills, logical problem-solving capability, quick and self-learner to adopt and use new technologies.
• Knowledge of Scripting language such as Shell Script, Python etc. to automate day-to-day processes.
• Experience in software development or automated testing in java programming language.
• Experience with other programming languages is good to have (e.g., Python, playwright, Golang) Validation and testing of multiple SAS9 products.
• Experience administrating Windows and Unix operating systems.
• Experience with integration, regression and unit testing Experience with Linux and Windows Demonstrate aptitude for problem solving and debugging of complex software systems.
• Familiarity with security principles such as FIPS, TLS, Certificate and Private Key infrastructure.
• Aptitude to work with large Legacy products.
