Quote Engineer

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Quote Engineer located in Guadalajara North Campus . Reporting to the Project Manager, the NPI Quote Engineer will be responsible for the preparation and generation of quotes, according to the complexity of a process or product and the client's strategist.

Responsibilities

• Resource management in the technical area, allocation of quotes, planning, organizing and executing activities related to the project strategy, involving and collaborating with different technical teams.
• Complete the detailed Cost models for each quote, ensuring correct processes, content and verify all assumptions with Business teams and operations.
• Participate in Quote Strategy / Attend Kick-Off calls.
• Detailed technical review of customer documentation as necessary.
• Build and manage relationships with site engineering resources.
• Create cost models for budgetary or quick turn quotes when demand requires.
• Cost Model data manipulation / Cost & Price roll-up / VAM Creation based on docs and quote strategy.
• Ensure financial viability and accuracy of cost models used.
• Provide financial analysis for the BDM Team on quotes.
• Provide final pricing and financial assumption to be included in quote letter.
• The experience we’re looking to add to our team: Experience in the sheet metal industry.
• Knowledge of mechanical sheet metal processes, as Soft Tool punching and bending; Hard Tool stamping; and secondary operations such as hardware insertion, welding, etc.
• Reading ad Interpretation of Customer Documents such as BOMs, 2D & 3D drawings and specification details, such as: tolerances, surface finishes, materials and special processes.

Requirements

• P&L, revenue, cost, etc.
• Knowledge of NREs and its Cost Estimations (tooling / fixtures).
• Knowledge of metals commodities.
• Basic to Intermediate Excel handling (pivot tables, macros).
• Advanced intermediate English.
