Join Motive as a Technical Program Manager (Platform Services) and lead complex, high-impact programs that strengthen our platform foundations and improve engineering team delivery at scale. You will work across multiple engineering teams and partner functions, driving planning, execution, risk management, and operations. This role requires strong technical judgment, structured program leadership, and the ability to create clarity across ambiguity, dependencies, and competing priorities.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex, high-impact programs that strengthen platform foundations and improve engineering team delivery.
- Drive planning, execution, risk management, and operations across multiple engineering teams and partner functions.
- Build scalable program mechanisms, including roadmap reviews, status reporting, escalation paths, and success metrics.
Requirements
- Experience building alignment across senior stakeholders and improving communication, governance, and execution across interdependent teams
- Demonstrated strength in structuring programs, driving decision-making, and solving complex problems in fast-paced, evolving environments
- Executive Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to synthesize technical complexities into clear executive summaries and trade-off matrices
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Data-Driven Approach: Expertise in establishing objective metrics (MetricSense, Datadog dashboards, SLO attainment, cost trends) to govern program success
15+ years of experience in the technology industry
- 7+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering program management, or a related role within software, infrastructure, or platform organizations
- Proven track record leading large, ambiguous, multi-team programs with significant cross-functional dependencies and measurable business or platform impact
- Outcome-Oriented Focus: Demonstrated bias for action and root-cause problem solving over administrative tracking; experience moving beyond Jira hygiene to actively unblocking delivery
- Strong technical fluency and the ability to engage credibly with engineering leaders and teams on architecture, trade offs, delivery risks, and execution plans
- Experience driving AI-assisted developer workflow tooling or agentic automation in developer environments
- Background as a Software Engineer, Systems/Delivery Architect, or Technical Product Manager prior to transitioning into TPM leadership
