Senior Full Stack Engineer

Owl Labs as a Senior Full Stack Engineer, where you'll build customer-facing product experiences and backend systems. You'll work across frontend, backend, cloud infrastructure, and device-connected workflows, collaborating cross-functionally to deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include building and shipping customer-facing features, driving codebase migrations, owning performance work, designing and operating backend services on AWS, implementing IoT communication flows, and more. Responsibilities

• Concevoir, construire et exploiter des services backend sur AWS (Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, S3, IAM) qui alimentent le portail client et les flux de travail de gestion des appareils.
• Participer activement aux migrations de codebase (par exemple, JavaScript → TypeScript) pour améliorer la fiabilité, la sécurité et la maintenabilité à long terme.
• Identifier et corriger les goulets d'étranglement grâce à la virtualisation, à la mémoïsation, au découpage de code et à l'optimisation des bundles.
• Willingness to take on hard, ambiguous challenges, break them down into tractable pieces, and lead others through uncertainty
• Ability to operate in evolving codebases and systems: you’re comfortable when migrations, new features, and reliability work are all happening at once
• Clear, structured communication skills — you can explain tradeoffs to product and design, collaborate with firmware and hardware teams, and keep stakeholders aligned as plans evolve

Requirements

• Proven ability to deliver high-quality features and platform improvements under aggressive schedules while maintaining sound engineering judgment
• Strong ownership mindset — you take responsibility for outcomes across the stack, from UX and APIs to data models and infrastructure, and you close loops without being asked
• Resilience and comfort with failure — you experiment, learn quickly from what doesn’t work, and turn those lessons into better designs and systems
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, et al. or a great portfolio of web-based applications
• Track record of effective cross-functional collaboration, including refining requirements, giving constructive feedback, and representing engineering in roadmap discussions
