Electrical Design Engineer

Join Skydio, a leading drone manufacturer, as an Electrical Design Engineer. In this role, you will architect, develop, and refine electrical systems that integrate advanced computing hardware, sensing, and power systems. You will define the architecture, select components, and work on detailed design, integration, and validation of the system electronics. Experience in high-speed digital design, mobile SoC design, and troubleshooting EMI/RF problems is required.

Defining the architecture and selecting components for complex embedded electro-mechanical and optical systems.

Obtaining FAA Part 107 certification within the first 60 days of employment is strongly encouraged for all Skydio employees and required for certain positions

Responsibilities

• Directing others through the detailed design of main logic, interconnect, power, RF, and sensing systems around a mobile System on Chip (SoC).
• Creating and carrying out a validation plan for the system electronics, and solving related reliability, yield, and performance issues.

Requirements

• High speed digital design
• Familiar with scripting/programming in Python/C
• Connected products (wifi, cellular)
• Experience shipping high-volume consumer electronic products in a senior or architect-level role

Preferred

• Troubleshooting EMI/RF problems
