Join Smartling, a leading translation management platform, as a Solution Architect. In this role, you will be a hands-on advisor and technical expert, leading various technical integrations and implementations. You will work closely with both technical and business users to gather requirements, analyze information, and design comprehensive and scalable solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a track record of successfully designing and implementing enterprise-grade technical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Interacting with both technical and business users to gather requirements, analyze information, and design comprehensive and scalable solutions.
  • Leading various technical integrations and implementations, solving the most challenging problems in the content localization space, and designing sustainable solutions.
  • Effectively and proactively managing process changes with business and technical stakeholders to drive implementations forward.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of applied experience with modern web technologies (e.g. HTTP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript), and REST APIs
  • 3+ years of relevant experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Consultant, or in a similar customer-facing role that focuses on technical solution design and implementation
  • Ability to drive outcomes despite complexity, ambiguity or changing scope
  • Excellent communication skills with the capability to advise/persuade technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Familiarity with at least one programming/scripting language and able to read/write scripts
  • A home office setup conducive for working remotely, and ability to work effectively as a remote team member*
  • Strong analytical skills when it comes to complex problems, and are not intimidated by technical challenges
  • Knowledge of Content Delivery Networks (CDN), web servers, and proxy technologies such as Nginx
  • Software development experience

Preferred

  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • Experience with file engineering and regular expressions
  • Hands-on experience with Splunk, Kibana or similar technologies
  • Experience with translation, localization, and internationalization processes and/or fluency in multiple languages
