Responsibilities

  • Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
  • You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity.
  • Part Time Pay Rate: $21.35 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeWed08:00 AM - 08:00 PMThur08:00 AM - 08:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, campus policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, classrooms, common areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious behavior or facility concerns, and maintain accurate incident and daily activity documentation.
  • Support a welcoming educational environment by providing directions, answering general questions, and communicating professionally with campus personnel and first responders.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
