Responsibilities

• This Position $15.00/hour + $1000 new hire bonus The Food Service Worker prepares and serves a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus within a correctional setting.

Adapt to changes quickly

• Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities Prepare and assist team members in the preparation of quality foods according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions promptly.
• The duties of the Food Service Worker include, but are not limited to, cleaning as you go and maintaining a neat and food safe workstation, which you will clean and maintain.
• These responsibilities also include pulling trash, sweeping, and mopping.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes.
• Abide by all food safety regulations about sanitation, food handling and storage.
• Perform routine kitchen tasks, while being organized and clean.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

Requirements

• You will have physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred

• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.

• This position is located onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.
