ER Tech/Paramedic, Night Shift

Full time Shift: 12 Hour Night Shift Description: Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is a full-service, non-profit Catholic hospital, sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy and a member of Trinity Health.

The ER Technician is responsible for delivery of patient care. The ER Tech provides patient care in the Emergency Center under the supervision of the RN or physician. This is a Modified full time position on night shift (7pm-7:30am) with benefits.

Purpose An ED tech is a healthcare professional who assists emergency room (ER) doctors and nurses with delivering medical care . ED techs keep the ER clean and organized and assist with basic patient care.

Responsibilities

• Also known as emergency department technician, ED technician, ER technician, or ER tech.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED from accredited school is required
• Certificate from Emergency Medical Technician Basic (EMT-B) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program required
• Willingness to cross train as Unit Secretary Previous experience working as an EMT-B or CNA required.
• Experience with starting IVs is necessary
• Emergency Medical Technician Basic (EMT-B) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License required BLS required
