Responsibilities

• Processes include obtaining accurate demographic, insurance and patient liability information.
• Responsible for working with multiple department/hospital and web-based systems.
• What you will do Performs complete and accurate pre-registrations, registration, and admission functions
• Verifies insurance requirements, obtains and understands insurance benefits
• Ensures that all entries concerning demographic, financial and advanced directives are Collects non-covered fees

Requirements

• Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Position Purpose Completes patient registrations/pre-registration in the ED.
• Minimum Qualifications Minimum High school or equivalent
• Strong interpersonal, communication and interview skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computer systems and computer devices
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurances

Preferred

• One year experience in an accredited hospital or physician's office preferred

Pay

• $17.50 - $25.00 per hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education.
• Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
• The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
