Crop Worker

Reporting to Team Lead R&D Operations/ Team Lead Seed Production/ Agronomist Purpose Ensure the effective routine care and treatment of crops, contributing to the success of plant breeding programs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a healthy, safe working environment while adhering to breeding protocols.
• Key Accountabilities 1.
• Care and treatment of crops and trials.
• 2.
• Execution of emasculations and crossings according crossing scheme 3.
• Harvesting of crossings, seeds and fruits of the crops.
• 4.
• Participation in all crop care, seed extraction, cleaning and/or breeding support activities.
• Daily functional guidance of seasonal workers.

• Crop Workers (level 1 and 2) and seasonal workers * Direct point of contact for colleauges outside own department * Typically requires a minimum of 3-5 years relevant work experience
