Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, planned and unplanned maintenance, repair, overhaul, troubleshoot and test mechanical and electronic equipment according to company standards.
• Oversee, supervise, and manage the day to day operations of our heavy equipment technicians in the field.
• Dispatching of 10-12 field heavy equipment technicians and welders to ensure schedules and timelines are met.

Full Time, Permanent Schedule: 10+ Hours per day (day shift) OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week Location: Shop: 9175 – 14 Street NW, Edmonton, AB We Offer: Tool/Boot Allowance Benefits, RRSP/TFSA Matching Air Exchange Units Specialty Dealer Training Provided with Certification Specific Manufacturer Tooling with Software and Diagnostics Sureway is a Repair Facility, not a component exchange shop; providing our technicians with a sense of ownership The Sureway Shop is under New Management – Effective September 1, 2026 Requirements: Full Complement of Hand Tools Personal Reliable Vehicle CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support Pre-employment: Drug and alcohol testing which may be swab or urine depending on site requirements Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation Fitness to Work Assessment Field Foreman HET Off-Road Qualifications: Must be a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician with Red Seal – Off Road or equivalent Must have between five (5) and ten (10) years' Journeyperson experience Off Road experience is REQUIRED Experience with CAT E.T. and S.I.S. and/or Komatsu is REQUIRED Experience with CAT Scrapers is Beneficial Ability to read/troubleshoot and diagnose using hydraulic and electronic schematics Exceptional organization and cleanliness skills are REQUIRED Field Foreman HET Off-Road Responsibilities: Ensure all equipment is continually maintained at the highest standards, and in a timely manner, resulting in proper function and availability.
