Bank API Onboarding Specialist

Circit Limited

We connect corporate clients to corporate bank APIs, for example JP Morgan, Citibank, HSBC, Bank of America. Each connection is a small project between three parties: the corporate client, the bank and Circit.

You will be the single owner of these onboarding projects. You will run many at the same time, keep every party moving, and turn what you learn into a repeatable process. If a bank is not yet live on Circit, you will oversee the bank implementation together with our Banking Platform team, from first contact to first live client.

This is a new function built to scale. Our goal is to complete 100 client-bank onboardings in your first 12 months. As Premium APIs get adopted and more clients need onboarding, you will build and lead a team of onboarding analysts.

Reports to: Director of Banking Platform & API Solutions

Responsibilities

  • Circit is a Central Bank of Ireland-regulated Account Information Service Provider (PSD2). Our VT (Verify Transactions) product lets auditors, including Big Four firms, verify financial data directly from banks through bank APIs. This replaces paper confirmations and screenshots with data straight from the source.
  • Run multiple client-bank onboarding projects at once, from kick-off to first live data and hand-over.
  • Set timelines, track milestones, keep a risk and issue log, and report status every week to clients, auditors and internal teams.
  • Help the client request API access from their bank relationship manager. Follow up with the bank's onboarding teams on agreements, entitlements and credentials. Make sure the client comes back to finish setup.
  • When a bank is not yet live, coordinate with Circit's Banking Platform engineers and the bank's technical team. Track testing and sign-off.
  • Keep the per-bank checklists, client guides and internal guides up to date. Measure time-to-live and remove steps so the process can run at volume.
  • Share what slows clients and banks down with Product, Sales and Customer Success.

Requirements

  • Based in the US and able to work US business hours
  • 4+ years of project management (implementation, onboarding, integration or similar) with external clients
  • Proven experience running several projects at the same time, with timelines, dependencies and risk tracking
  • Strong stakeholder management: comfortable following up with busy people at large banks and corporates, politely and persistently
  • Clear written and spoken English; able to explain technical steps simply
  • Organised and process-minded: you write things down and make them repeatable
  • Comfortable with project tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Smartsheet or similar)

Preferred

  • Knowledge of APIs and authentication (REST, OAuth 2.0, client IDs/secrets, certificates/CSRs)
  • Banking or treasury integration experience (corporate banking, SWIFT, host-to-host, open banking, PSD2, FDX, ISO 20022)
  • Experience at an open banking, treasury-tech or bank-connectivity company (e.g., Plaid, TrueLayer, Tink, Kyriba, Trovata, Necto/Embat)
  • Audit, Big Four or audit-tech experience
  • A PM certification (PMP, PRINCE2, CAPM, Scrum)
