Senior - Product Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• You will manage schedules, budgets, scope, and phase gates to deliver new product launches with first-time-right quality on time, while also driving improvements and upgrades to existing products and VAVE initiatives for quality, performance, or cost.
• Engineer, you will initiate and lead development activities, work closely with R&D teams on product specifications, establish testing and validation of product performance, and support process engineering for production readiness.
• Plan and execute projects of moderate to high complexity and scope with minimal oversight, using project management best practices. · Manage prototype builds, coordinate product validation with quality assurance and analytical labs, and use performance data to drive continuous optimization. · Lead large cross-functional and global teams. · Solve engineering problems of high complexity. · Engage with customers and external partners. · Train engineers and technicians, and serve as a peer reviewer of technical work. · Develop and implement new test protocols and equipment of moderate scope. · Contribute to the product road map and technology road map through a deep understanding of technologies, markets, consumer insights, and competition. · Own project management: lead schedules, budgets, drawings, phase gates, and production handoffs while meeting customer specifications, SKUs, and bills of materials. · Perform additional duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience leading complex product development projects with cross-functional teams. · Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once with minimal supervision. · Strong knowledge of engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes. · Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail. · Data driven, with the ability to work under tight deadlines. · Excellent communication and technical reporting skills. · Ability to learn new technology, processes, and systems quickly. · Working knowledge of MS Office and project management platforms such as Monday.com. · Familiarity with regulatory standards and certifications relevant to the industry is a plus. · CAD software experience (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.
