Director of Clinical Operations, Strategy, and Innovation

Devoted

A bit about this role: As Director of Clinical Operations & Innovation, you will be a core operational architect driving Devoted Medical’s organization-wide efforts to deliver best-in-class clinical outcomes for hundreds of thousands of members. This is an executive-adjacent, high-ownership role combining strategic problem-solving, rapid-cycle experimentation, and rigorous operational execution across complex cross-functional systems.

Why Devoted Medical?

About Devoted

We serve hundreds of thousands of members across complex health needs, treating every member like family.

High-trust, flat organization with a culture built on clear thinking, speed, and tangible clinical results.

A collaborative, low-ego team from diverse healthcare and non-healthcare backgrounds operating with grace and humor.

Founded in 2017, Devoted Health is on a mission to dramatically improve the health and well-being of older Americans by caring for everyone like they are family, and that includes our employees.

Our robust and seamlessly integrated care platform merges advanced data and AI access with world-class clinical and service experiences to create a member experience that is unlike the industry norm.

To continue building upon our mission, we want to bring together those who share our values, embrace change and advancement, and are enthusiastic about where we're going — all the while bringing their own unique qualities, experiences, and expertise, in hopes of further changing the healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

  • Our specific needs evolve quickly, but your work will focus on: Making care seamless: Streamlining care coordination (e.g., faster labs, preventative screenings).
  • Deepening member engagement across clinical services and channels.
  • Driving process performance to deliver, evaluate, and refine high-impact care actions.
  • Building and expanding cross-channel clinical programs to meet members where they are.
  • Strategy & Architecture: Design organization-wide strategies and system workflows across core operational and clinical outcome metrics.
  • Partner with clinical, product, tech, and frontline teams to take initiatives from pilot phase to full-scale rollout.
  • Analyze variability, build decision frameworks, and pinpoint performance drivers using rigorous probabilistic models.
  • Manage directly and through influence, prioritizing workflows that enable and unblock our frontline clinicians.
  • Proven track record of mapping, optimizing, and scaling cross-functional processes that drive core business metrics.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of high-ownership operational leadership in complex, fast-moving, or regulated environments (e.g., tech ops, healthcare ops, marketplace ops, strategy & ops).
  • Comfortable building quantitative models, evaluating experiments probabilistically, and distinguishing true signal from data noise.
  • Ability to seamlessly bridge macro strategy with hands-on problem solving (fixing a workflow manually today while building the automated solution for tomorrow).
  • Experienced in guiding cross-functional teams directly and laterally with a frontline-first mindset.

Preferred

  • Experience mastering intricate operational domains quickly (healthcare/value-based care experience is a plus, but not required).
  • Pragmatic curiosity around modern tech tools (e.g., leveraging LLMs/prompting to optimize daily workflows).
  • High comfort with ambiguity and rapid change cycles.
