Responsibilities

• Day (United States of America) Address: 3150 Waterman Way City: Tavares State: Florida Postal Code: 32778 Job Description: Practices infection control standards and utilizes approved personal protective equipment (PPE) and disinfectant agents.
• Maintains a properly stocked, organized, and clean room.
• Completes required documentation for Radiologist support and performs clerical duties, including answering telephones, completing patient records, filing, and scheduling.
• Performs direct patient care duties within the technologist’s scope of practice, including monitoring patient condition and ensuring patient comfort, safety, and privacy.
• Obtains and documents patient history and explain procedures.
• Performs radiology duties in all departments and environments, including OR and Fluoroscopy.
• Performs all imaging exams using established protocols and operates all equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, monitors, and medical equipment.

Requirements

• Ability to analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure that information is obtained and presented accurately [Required] Up-to-date knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operations, including x-ray producing equipment, if applicable per facility [Required] Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals [Required] Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry [Required] Able to fully use all Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment [Required] Must be able to read, write and speak conversational
• [Required] Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required] Education: Associate [Preferred] Bachelor's [Preferred] High School Grad or Equiv [Required] Work Experience: 2+ years experience [Required] Licenses and Certifications: Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] Registered Technologist – Radiography (RT(R) (ARRT)) [Required] Physical Requirements: (Please click the link below to view work requirements)
