Responsibilities

• Nursing Assistant - Float – Full-time - Evenings At New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist, certified nursing assistants thrive at the bedside as invaluable care providers.
• Be a true partner with Registered Nurses, Nurse Technicians and more.
• Monitor blood pressure and temperature of patients, while ensuring the delivery of meals and safe transport.
• So bring your smile to work.
• Infuse energy and hospitality into a patient's day.
• Provide comfort and caring as a certified nurse’s aide at NYP-keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly.
• Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment.
• Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure.
• Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care Float to all units-in the hospital such as - Med-Surg- Critical Care-Psychiatry- Emergency Department or where needed.

Requirements

• Criteria High school diploma or GED Certification from an approved, accredited

Nurse Assistant training program or current

• Enrollment in a BSN program & completion of at least 1 clinical rotation
• Current BLS Training from the American Heart Association Excellent communication and customer service skills

Pay

This a full-time evening position (3:30PM-midnight) at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist, 3 weekend a month is required Preferred Criteria Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of experience as a nurse’s aide in a hospital.

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
