The Role
Our Commercial Division is growing and needs 2nd to 4th year Sheet Metal Apprentices. You’ll work under experienced Journeypersons installing HVAC systems in commercial buildings and gaining the hands-on experience that moves you toward your ticket.

On the Job, You’ll:

Install, assemble and secure commercial HVAC ductwork, fittings and related components

Work from blueprints, technical drawings and specs to make sure every install is done right

Measure, cut and bend sheet metal with hand tools, power tools and shop machinery

Inspect and test finished systems to confirm they work properly and meet industry standards

Use and maintain tools and equipment safely and efficiently

Keep a clean, safe worksite and follow company policies and safety regulations

What You Need:

Registration as a 2nd, 3rd or 4th year sheet metal apprentice

Experience with commercial sheet metal or HVAC ductwork installation

Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, duct systems and ventilation components

The ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings and project plans

Comfort working at heights and in confined spaces, and the ability to lift heavy materials

Good communication skills and a team-first attitude

A valid driver’s licence and the ability to travel to job sites as needed

Nice to Have:

Fall arrest certification

Scissor lift certification

First aid certification
