Registered Nurse

What you’ll do We are looking for a compassionate, skilled and dedicated Complex Care Nurse to support a young client with complex clinical needs in maintaining comfort, dignity and quality of life. They have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, is wheelchair-dependent, receives Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) and is PEG-fed. They also have palliative care needs and requires a nurse who can provide high-quality, person-centred clinical care tailored to their individual needs. Beyond their clinical care, they enjoy studying History at college and are a keen football fan who loves to attend matches. We are looking for someone who can build a positive relationship, provide compassionate support and help them to continue enjoying the activities that are important to them. This is a rewarding opportunity for a nurse with a caring approach, strong clinical skills and a passion for making a meaningful difference to someone's life.

We are looking for a nurse with experience in the following areas: TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition) – previous experience is essential, including managing TPN packages.

Responsibilities

• PEG feeding – experience supporting patients with PEG feeding.
• Ventilator management – experience supporting patients who require ventilatory support.

Requirements

• What you’ll need You must have an active, valid Nurse registration with the NMC.
• Suctioning – experience carrying out suction procedures safely.
• Catheter care – experience managing and maintaining catheter care.
• Medication administration – experience administering medication, including anti-seizure medication and other prescribed medicines.
• the ability to communicate effectively and build a positive, trusting relationship with the individual and their support network.

Pay

Southport Pay: £38 per hour Shifts: Nights (20:00-08:00) We are CCH .
