Responsibilities

  • What you'll do You'll teach a group of students content and application, and help them work through difficult questions: Teach – intuitively teach subject content to a full class of 8–20 students

Coach – study skills and exam strategy

  • Mentor – share your own experiences and form genuine connections
  • Connect – build relationships that inspire students to keep going
  • For example, you might teach two classes on Monday and two on Tuesday (4:15–6:15pm and 6:45–8:45pm), plus two on Saturday morning (10:00am–12:00pm and 12:30–2:30pm).
  • qualification through Contour Tutor Academy, class sit-ins, regular check-ins with your team lead, and honest feedback on your tutoring.

Requirements

What you'll bring

  • Strong communication and a knack for making hard concepts click
  • Knowledge of Chemistry or Physics at first-year university level or above A 99+ ATAR and a 43+ study score in VCE Chemistry or Physics (highly desirable, not required) 6+ classes per week , committed across a full academic year (around 12+ hours weekly)
  • Energy, empathy, and a desire to help students
