Java Developer, Institutional Banking Technology

Principal Responsibilities As an Application Developer within Institutional Bank Group, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing innovative software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Software Development: Developing, testing, and deploying high-quality, scalable, and resilient applications, utilizing modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Engaging in the development and integration of Generative AI (GenAI) and Machine Learning (ML) models into financial applications, contributing to advanced analytical and predictive capabilities.
• This may involve working with GenAI/ML platforms and leveraging services.
• Participating in the architectural design of new and existing systems, ensuring they meet business requirements and adhere to best practices in terms of performance, security, and scalability.
• Implementing and maintaining Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate software delivery processes, ensuring efficient and reliable deployments.
• Working closely with product managers and product owners to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Providing technical support and troubleshooting for production issues, ensuring high availability and performance of critical applications.
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation for applications and systems.
• Staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly in areas like AI/ML, cloud computing, and financial technology, to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

Requirements

• Experience 5+ years of working experience with Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Java, familiar with Python.
• Proven experience in software development, preferably within the financial services industry.
• Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with middle ware service like Kafka, RocketMQ etc.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP, OCP) and cloud-native application development.
• Experience with DevOps principles and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with scripting languages like Bash, sh, etc.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
• Knowledge of financial markets products and processes is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in an agile, fast-paced, and collaborative environment.

Preferred

• Front-end development experience (e.g., Angular, JavaScript, React) is a plus for full-stack roles.
