Corporate Controller

Join our team as a Corporate Controller, where you will lead the day-to-day operations of the corporate accounting function, ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial reporting. You will manage the monthly and quarterly close process, maintain a strong internal control environment in compliance with SOX, and develop a team of accounting professionals. Your responsibilities will include financial reporting and controls, internal controls and compliance, team leadership, intercompany and tax compliance, and administrative support.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the corporate accounting function, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting.
• Own the monthly and quarterly close process and maintain a strong internal control environment in compliance with SOX.
• Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals, driving process improvement and operational efficiency.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and internal control frameworks

Requirements

• Familiarity with Canadian indirect tax requirements (GST/HST, PST, QST)
• Strong analytical and account reconciliation skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop a team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with multi-entity, cross-border, and intercompany accounting
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Preferred

• Proficiency with ERP systems; Oracle Fusion experience preferred
• Experience leveraging AI tools to improve accounting processes an asset
