Product Counsel

Join Anthropic as a Product Counsel, where you'll be a hands-on legal partner to teams building Claude for consumers and businesses. You'll work across various apps, subscriptions, growth programs, and enterprise offerings, providing clear and practical legal guidance from early ideas through launch. Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to provide clear and practical legal guidance throughout the product development process.
• Review product launches and advise on subscriptions, pricing, promotions, billing, and other growth programs.
• Draft and review user-facing terms, disclosures, in-product copy, and marketing claims, ensuring compliance with relevant laws.
• Openness to feedback and a track record of improving quickly

Requirements

• Experience advising business or product teams directly, not only other lawyers
• Hold a law degree (JD, LLB, or equivalent) and meet the local licensing requirements to work as in-house counsel where you'll be based
• Experience using AI tools in your legal work, or a strong interest in learning to do so
• At least 4 years of relevant legal experience, with exposure to technology, consumer or regulated products
• Working knowledge of at least two of: consumer protection, privacy, advertising and marketing law, technology transactions, IP, or regulated industries
• A habit of making a clear recommendation, even with incomplete information
• In-house product counsel experience, or a secondment with a product team
• Experience with subscription businesses, promotions, or consumer billing
• Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
• Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
• Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience

Preferred

• Experience supporting enterprise SaaS or regulated customers such as healthcare or financial services
