Backend Software Engineer

Join ERGO NEXT as a Backend Software Engineer and work with the latest backend technologies and programming languages. You will take ownership of features from inception to production, collaborating closely with product, marketing, and front-end engineers. A strong background in SQL, cloud-based environments, and backend feature development in a SaaS environment is required.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement backend features for the product.
• Take ownership of the entire development process, from inception through design and coding, to production deployment.
• Utilize strong SQL skills and experience with cloud-based environments to enhance the performance and scalability of the backend systems.

- Hands-on development of highly distributed, cloud-based environments is an advantage. We work with AWS, but any cloud experience is a plus

- Experience with backend feature development in a SaaS environment
- Adaptable, with a passion for quickly learning new technologies and working effectively in a dynamic environment
- Experience working with relational databases
- Ability to navigate and work effectively across diverse domains and contexts
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of OOP concepts and best practices
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- 6+ years of experience in backend end-to-end feature and/or product development
- Experience with Java, Kotlin, and/or Python is ideal
