Join our team as a Firmware Engineer, where you will be responsible for developing firmware for an embedded processor on a System on Chip (SoC). You will collaborate with software and hardware engineers to understand and specify API requirements, create the development environment, and verify the firmware to a production level. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in firmware development, expertise in various firmware languages and target architectures, and experience with RISC-V, FPGA, and AI acceleration hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Development of firmware for an embedded processor on an SOC, including creating firmware to support an API.
  • Collaboration with software and hardware engineers to understand and specify the API requirements.
  • Acquisition and configuration of appropriate tools to create the firmware, including compilers, simulators, and debuggers.
  • Expertise in various firmware languages and target architectures

Requirements

  • Specification and creation of a firmware development environment for a shipping product
  • 5+ years of experience in firmware development
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Experience with AI acceleration hardware

Preferred

  • RISC-V experience

  • Hands-on use of LLMs or agentic tools in development workflows
