Android Engineer (12 Month Fixed Term Contract)

Join our EU engineering team in London as an Android Engineer on a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will strengthen the infrastructure behind our app, improve the foundations of a large Kotlin codebase, and shape the technical roadmap for new data integrations and architecture. You will collaborate across teams to build and maintain Android capabilities that support our marketing technology initiatives. Your work will empower restaurants to thrive by creating reliable, high-performance experiences that encourage diners to return.

Responsibilities

• Contribuir a la mejora de la arquitectura de una aplicación Android establecida y garantizar que la base de código siga siendo mantenible, escalable y moderna.
• Colaborar con equipos de ingeniería, marketing y datos para construir y mantener las capacidades de Android que apoyan las iniciativas de tecnología de marketing.
• Utilizar datos y diagnósticos para identificar problemas potenciales, validar mejoras técnicas y optimizar tanto la experiencia del usuario final como la del desarrollador.
• 3+ years of experience building and maintaining scalable, modern, and high-performing Android applications
• Proven track record of improving the architecture of an established Android app
• Hands-on experience working with mobile analytics or attribution integrations, such as Firebase or attribution SDKs

Requirements

• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, marketing, and data stakeholders, explaining technical decisions clearly
• Strong proficiency in writing maintainable Kotlin code with a deep value for testing, reliability, and performance
• Demonstrated appetite for continually refining the end-user experience through data-driven insights
• Familiarity with creating and contributing to shared Android infrastructure
• Passion for enhancing developer experience, infrastructure, and internal tooling
• Experience working across Android applications and the backend services that support them, including server-side Java
