Architect, build, and operate resilient, highly scalable distributed systems and backend services across Robinhood Wallet, Tokenization, and Web3 platform infrastructure.

Deep care and architectural experience with correctness-critical systems—idempotency, financial reconciliation, ledger consistency, and designing for failure modes when money is at stake

Strong interest or hands-on experience with blockchain fundamentals—EVM, smart contracts, wallets, on-chain settlement, or decentralized infrastructure—and an appetite to tackle cutting-edge technical problems

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on large-scope, ambiguous engineering initiatives, breaking down complex multi-quarter efforts into clear architectural milestones.
• Deep expertise in backend development using languages such as Go, Python, or Java, alongside advanced knowledge of cloud-native, event-driven architectures

Requirements

• Demonstrated technical leadership experience—driving alignment across cross-functional partners, unblocking complex technical roadblocks, and mentoring other engineers
• 5+ years of experience in software development, with a proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining distributed systems at scale
• Strong mastery of system design, distributed data modeling, concurrency control, and scalability tradeoffs
