Staff Software Engineer (Backend Platform)

Join Robinhood as a Staff Software Engineer (Backend Platform) and play a critical role in enabling fast, safe, and reliable backend development at scale. You will set technical direction, lead large multi-team initiatives, and design long-term technical solutions that support scalability, reliability, and maintainability across backend services. You will also mentor engineers and provide technical guidance to improve code quality, system design, and development practices.

Responsibilities

• Definir y liderar iniciativas a gran escala que mejoren los sistemas de desarrollo backend, incluidos los marcos, las herramientas y las bibliotecas compartidas.

Requirements

• You have extensive experience building and scaling backend systems using Go and Python
• You have demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects and influence engineering direction across teams
• You are committed to improving developer workflows, system quality, and maintainability through thoughtful design
• You have experience designing internal platforms, developer tooling (Bazel, etc), or shared infrastructure used by multiple teams
• You have deep knowledge of backend frameworks such as Django, gRPC or comparable systems in Go
