Engineering Manager (Federal & Regulated Infrastructure)

Join our team as an Engineering Manager for Federal & Regulated Infrastructure. In this zero-to-one role, you will lead the engineering team responsible for adapting our Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) platform for government and regulated enterprise customers. You will work closely with various teams to ensure compliance with security and auditability requirements, while also driving the growth and development of your engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering team in deploying and operating services in regulated environments, ensuring compliance with security and auditability requirements.
• Collaborate with the platform team to adapt the architecture for regulated infrastructure while maintaining alignment with the commercial platform.
• Drive the hiring and development of engineers, establishing engineering standards and setting clear priorities for the team.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience hands-on experience deploying into government or other regulated cloud environments with isolated, air-gapped, or otherwise restricted networks
• Experience designing, building, and operating scaled systems in production in the cloud, including infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and containerized services
• Experience with security-sensitive or regulated environment compliance (FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, CMMC, SOC 2, HIPAA, or similar). You don’t need to be a compliance expert, but you value rigorous, documented, auditable engineering
• Experience hiring, developing, and retaining strong engineers, ideally through rapid growth
• Clear communication with engineers, security and compliance partners, customers, and executives
• Deep technical fluency: you can go deep in architecture and design reviews and propose meaningful changes, not just manage from a distance
• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, with strong hands-on technical depth
• 2+ years in an engineering management role, leading a team of engineers
