Responsibilities

• Full Time Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeWed05:45 AM - 06:00 PMThur05:45 AM - 06:00 PMSun05:45 AM - 06:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, perimeter areas, and parking locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and/or vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency services as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
