Engineering Technician - Hourly

We're on the lookout for a PCV/HGV Technician to join our close-knit team at Stagecoach Taffs well. You'll play a vital role in keeping our low-emission fleet safe, reliable, and ready to serve the community.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and servicing buses to Stagecoach and DVSA safety standards
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic tools
• Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance, including roadside repairs
• Reporting defects and completing all work safely and in line with policies
• Collaborating with workshop colleagues and supporting junior team members

Requirements

• A qualified engineer with City & Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 in PSV or HGV Maintenance (or equivalent)
• Previous hands-on experience servicing and repairing commercial vehicles, ideally in a bus, coach, truck, or HGV environment although we are open to different backgrounds
• Confident using diagnostic tools and service manuals A proactive, safety-first approach A team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail A full UK driving licence

Pay

Salary 40497 Salary £40497 Based at our Taffs well depot, just outside Cardiff Pay rate of £19.47 per hour
