Revenue Accountant

Join our team as a Revenue Accountant, where you will play a crucial role in revenue recognition and contract accounting. You will review customer contracts, analyze revenue arrangements, prepare revenue recognition schedules, and perform month-end close activities. Additionally, you will partner with various departments to improve systems and processes, communicate accounting conclusions, and assist with audit processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in revenue accounting, experience with ERP and CRM systems, and a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606.

• Review customer contracts and related documentation to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment under ASC 606.
• Perform monthly revenue close activities, including revenue recognition, deferred revenue, contract assets/liabilities, and related reconciliations.
• Partner with Accounting Operations, Billing, Sales Operations, Deal Desk, and IT to ensure contracts are properly structured and processed through the revenue accounting lifecycle.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• Experience with SaaS, software, technology, or other consumption-based businesses preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience with ERP and CRM systems; NetSuite and Salesforce
• 3–5 years of revenue accounting experience, with strong preference for technology industry experience
• Experience reviewing contracts and translating contractual terms into accounting conclusions
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with Sales, Billing, Operations, and other business teams
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet close deadlines in a fast-paced environment
