AWS IAC Cloud Engineer

AnaVation is seeking an experienced cloud engineer to join our high- performing team. This work is onsite in Quantico, VA. You’ll keep a complex hybrid environment running for a mission enterprise application that people depend on every day to do their jobs. That covers AWS commercial accounts, a GitLab CI/CD pipeline across dev, test, and prod, and on-prem hardware that you’ll maintain from the rack up. This is an on-site role, with hybrid options available once you’ve established yourself on the team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve AWS commercial infrastructure using infrastructure as code
• Run and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines in GitLab across dev, test, and prod environments
• Keep multiple environments stable, consistent, and working as expected
• Rack, swap, and maintain on-prem servers

Patch and update on-prem Debian-based Linux systems

• Support monitoring and logging so issues are caught before users notice them
• This position requires regular on-site presence in Quantico, VA. Applicants who do not currently reside within commuting distance to this location should describe how they would satisfy any onsite requirements.
• About AnaVation

Requirements

• This position requires an active Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain SCI accesses with a CI polygraph.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in cloud or relevant systems engineering
• Active TS/SCI clearance, and willingness to complete a CI polygraph
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure with infrastructure as code
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments
• Hands-on experience maintaining physical servers
• Experience administering and patching Debian-based Linux and Windows systems
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Associate or higher
• Containers (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS)
• Ansible
