Safety Engineer (IBMS/ELV) | Ahmedabad | Contractual Role Position Title: Safety Engineer – IBMS/ELV Projects (Contractual) Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat Employment Type: Contractual (1-Year Contract, Renewable based on performance and business requirements)

Project Manager / EHS Manager Role Summary We are looking for a Safety Engineer to oversee Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) compliance across IBMS, ELV, BMS, CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, Networking and Integrated Building Technology projects.

Responsibilities

• The incumbent will be responsible for implementing site safety programs, ensuring statutory compliance, conducting risk assessments, and fostering a strong safety culture at project sites.
• Safety Management Implement and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and safety standards at project sites.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory and customer safety requirements.
• Carry out Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Risk Assessment before commencement of activities.
• Site Operations Support Monitor installation, testing and commissioning activities related to: Building Management Systems (BMS) Integrated Building Management Systems (IBMS) CCTV Surveillance Systems Access Control Systems (ACS) Fire Alarm Systems Structured Cabling & Networking Ensure safe execution of electrical and low-voltage works.
• Safety Compliance Conduct toolbox talks and safety inductions.
• Maintain permits to work (PTW) and safety documentation.
• PPE compliance across the workforce and subcontractors.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
• Training & Audits Organize safety awareness programs.
• Conduct internal safety audits and compliance reviews.
• Coordinate with customer EHS teams and regulatory authorities.
• Risk Assessment & Hazard Identification.
• Safety Audits and Inspections.
• Emergency Response Planning.
• MS Office and documentation management.

Requirements

• Qualifications Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Engineering.
• Diploma in Industrial Safety / Advanced Safety Certification preferred.
• Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent would be an advantage.
• Required 3-8 years of experience in construction, electrical, IBMS, BMS, ELV, CCTV, or building automation projects.
• Experience handling large commercial, industrial, data center, pharma, IT park, or manufacturing projects preferred.
• Work at Height Electrical Safety Permit to Work System Contractor Safety Management Incident Investigation Technical Skills Knowledge of EHS regulations and statutory compliance.
