Senior Software Engineer, Public Sector

Join our team as a Senior Software Engineer in the Public Sector. You will be responsible for feature and platform development, including backend and frontend engineering, backlog execution, and ensuring federal compliance. You will also handle incident management, root cause analysis, and technical collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of Linux environments, modern programming languages, and cloud-native design patterns, as well as experience in AI-assisted development and troubleshooting. US citizenship is required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Contribuer directement à la livraison des fonctionnalités clés, à l'optimisation des performances et à l'architecture backend dans le cadre de la feuille de route de la plateforme CPS.
  • Enquêter sur les défauts de production complexes, les régressions système et les goulets d'étranglement de performance provenant des environnements FedRAMP/GovCloud.
  • Assurer que tout le code de la plateforme est conforme à FedRAMP, CMMC et aux strictes limites opérationnelles de GovCloud.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship Required (Mandatory for GovCloud access and Federal audit compliance)
  • Linux & Infrastructure Diagnostics: Strong command of Linux environments (RHEL, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS), CLI tools, log analysis, and system telemetry metrics — Must
  • Collaborative Mindset: Excellent technical communication skills with a proven track record of working asynchronously across global development teams
  • Modern Development Stack: Familiarity with modern programming languages, backend frameworks, and cloud-native design patterns
  • Strong Proficiency in Python and Go: Deep hands-on experience developing microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven backend components — Must
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building and maintaining distributed backend systems
  • AI-Assisted Development: Proficiency in utilizing AI development tools to accelerate development workflows, code generation, and problem-solving- Must
  • Troubleshooting Expertise: Proven ability to read, debug, and trace code written by other teams to identify root causes efficiently
  • Experience working on cyber-physical systems, IoT, OT security, or network instrumentation platforms
  • Experience with React or other modern frontend technologies
  • Experience with database query execution and SQL
  • Familiarity with CI/CD automation tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Helm)

Preferred

  • Hands-on experience with message brokers and distributed data streaming platforms (e.g., Apache Kafka)
  • Prior experience working within AWS GovCloud, FedRAMP High/Moderate, or CMMC-compliant environments and security frameworks
