AFC Operations Intern (6 Month Internship)

Join Upvest as an AFC Operations Intern for a 6-month full-time internship. You'll play a crucial role in safeguarding our platform and clients by executing first-line-of-defense AFC processes. • Conducting PEP and Sanctions screening, researching and dispositioning hits as true matches or false positives.
• Performing KYB checks for corporate onboarding, carrying out KYC sample checks, transaction monitoring.
• Executing and maintaining AFC procedures and controls in line with regulatory requirements and internal policy.

• We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented person who understands the basics of KYC/AML and is comfortable managing high-volume operational tasks
• A completed Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not essential
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, reliable working style
• Early experience in a regulated environment is a plus, but not required
• Good communication skills in English
• Comfort with high-volume, repeatable operational tasks and the discipline to keep quality consistent case after case
• A foundational understanding of KYC/AML concepts, gained through your studies, a previous internship or early work experience in a fintech or financial institution
• Curiosity about automation and the ability to quickly master new tools, systems and data
• A strong analytical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and a genuine interest in compliance and financial-crime prevention
