You will operate CNC laser/plasma machines and overhead gantry cranes at our Plates Auckland site. It is a hands-on role in a fast-paced steel manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC laser and plasma cutting machines
Operate overhead gantry cranes to position steel plates
Set up and feed product into machines for processing
Load and unload steel materials and finished parts

Monitor cut quality and maintain production standards

Assist with routine machine maintenance to keep machines running efficiently
Work safely, both independently and as part of a team

Requirements

Fibre laser machine experience is an advantage

Overhead gantry crane experience is highly desirable

Proven experience operating overhead gantry cranes (training available)
Experience working with mild steel, plate or heavy materials

Ability to read and interpret drawings and measurements

Strong understanding of machine set up and production processes
High attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy
A valid work visa or right to work in New Zealand
Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test

Preferred

Plasma machine experience is also valued
